Thanks, Tracy

This article regarding hospice care was sent to me by Tracy. Thank you Tracy for sending it to me. I thought it warranted posting a link here for others.

This article discusses, among other things, how it may be possible to get around the issue of a feeding tube while having hospice care at home.

My fever is roaring and Dennis pooped in his sleep again, so I am in a rotten mood. I will say no more.

Ann, I'm so sorry you're going through a rough patch right now. I also know that you will get through this as you have all the other rough patches.

You're very welcome. Everything seems worse when you're sick. And I'm sorry this is such a tough time for you.

Hope you stop feeling sick soon. Does Dennis wear adult diapers? My mum in law who died this August used to wear them and they are pull up types now, pretty nifty. It would at least save the bed linen. Clean up of Dennis would be the same but at least the stools would be contained in the diaper then you just roll them up and dispose like babies diapers. baby wipes are a godsend too. Of course, you probably know all this, I am just a newbie starting out on this road.

Dennis has been wearing adult diaper for a few years know, when he first lost control of his bladder. We also keep a pad down on the bed and a liner on top of that. I became sick of waking up and changing the linens ever day many years ago.

There are also adult wipeups - Walgreens has a good deal on them. We know order them in bulk through a company called Woodbury.
